NEWS May 18 2008:
Pesänrakennus alkoi tämän tuotantokauden toisena päivänä, 27. huhtikuuta.
Ensimmäinen muna oli jo tehty 28. päivä ja seuraavana päivänä toinen.
Sitten vauhti hidastui, kolmas muna oli pesässä 2. toukokuuta.
Tämän jälkeen munia on pyöräytetty lisää yksi päivässä, kunnes 7. toukokuuta kokonaismääräksi on jäänyt 8.
Haudonta lienee alkanut noihin samoihin aikoihin, joten 12. päivä tulisi kohdalle huomenna 19.5.
Videokuvassa on tänä vuonna mukana myös ääni ja lähetys on jatkuvasti päällä.

At 22th April there was seven eggs and incubation was started.
It will take about 11 or 12 days and hatching will probably happen tomorrow.

There are six eggs currently in the nest. It seems that incubation has not yet started.
Feel free to use side camera functions, it's available as long as the image is clean enough.

Nesting is finished.
First chick left the box at 9:15 (about) and second chick 15 minutes later.
Take a look at the videos section,
there is shortened video of both chicks leaving the nest.

Last night was the first night when female did not stay the night in the box.
Traffic counter shows that there has been more daily traffic comparing to past few days.

Two chicks are still alive and groving. One new video is published today.

Currently there are only two chicks alive.

There are six chicks in the nest.
This video shows how one dead chick is removed from the box.
NEWS May 29 2006:
We have lost the side camera image. A bird decided to enlarge the nest and now the side camera is completelly covered.
It is not possible to reinstall it during this nesting.
In the Videos -section there are two videos using the side camera, both taken at 27. May.
After current nesting is finished, we will clean the box and rebuild the close-up camera.
Hopefully we can see the nesting of Pied Flycatcher at June.

Side-camera image is disabled until hatching has happened. Video capturing runs currently 24 hours/day.
SERVICE NOTE May 19 2006 7 PM:
Side-camera is now re-adjusted and covering plastic is changed.
Unfortunately focus is not the best, but at this time we can't do much more.

Male brings a food and after feeding female makes some reorganization of eggs.
Incubation continues.
NEWS May 17 2006:
13 eggs in the nest.
First egg was layed at Apr 29.
After that there was one more egg per day, until at May 11th the nest was full.
Incubation has started at 10th or 11th May.
If incubation takes about 11 days, we will (hopefully) see the first chick at 21th or 22th May.
While those days are Sun and Mon, we have a good change to edit and publish some hacthing videos.

Currently it's picture is mostly gray, because the bird has covered it's lens with some grass and feather.
